Four of family electrocuted after bullock cart touches severed electric wire

Raybag: Four members of a family were electrocuted after a bullock cart in which they were travelling, touched a severed electric cable.

The incident was reported from the K Thimmapura village in the Raybag taluk.

According to the Raybag police, who rushed to the spot, Revappa Kalloli (35), a villager was riding in his bullock cart with his wife Rathnavva (32), son Sachin (8) and nephew Krishna (12).

When the bullock cart was travelling along the village outskirts, the bullocks accidentally touched a severed electric wire and all the four were electrocuted.

Both the bulls also died in the incident.

According to the locals, on Wednesday night, there was no power in the village as the electric cables were severed due to a thunder storm. But HESCOM officials didn’t disconnect the power supply, leading to the unfortunate accident.
