Belagavi: Unforgiving rains and floods has left the district battered. But, reduced rainfall on Monday resulted in the district gradually returning to normalcy.
Several parts of the district are observing moderate rainfall and also in the neighbouring state Maharashtra, the rain levels have comparatively decreased. The water level in the dams too are subsiding.
The inflow and outflow level in Malaprabha Dam has depreciated to 15000 and 11,164 cusec. Similarly in Hidkal Dam the inflow is 47,823 cusec, and the outflow 38,646 cusec.
Several parts located on Maharashtra-Karnataka border, which had nightmarish experience due to heavy floods after water was released from Koyna Dam of Maharashtra has also depreciated. The outflow from Koyna Dam has dropped to 48,893 cusec.
Meanwhile, according to the reports when put together all the outflow of water released from various dams of Maharashtra to Krishna river through the Rajapur Barrage, it has reached around 3, 21 400 cusec.
