Bengaluru: A day after city police announced that six SDPI activists were planning to murder Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya and right-wing orator Chakravarthy Sulibele, former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy ridiculed the police’s theory. “Are the two of them patriots?” he questioned.
“Are they big patriots? What is their contribution to Bengaluru? If anyone has hatched a conspiracy to kill them, let them be punished. But don’t blame the entire community for the conspiracy,” he advised.
“The BJP is making a number of bad decisions across the country. Even in Mangaluru, the police made a lot of mistakes. The government must suspend three officers for the Mangaluru police firing,” the JD(S) leader said.
HDK, who held a meeting with the leaders of the Muslim community, assured them of his support for their anti-CAA and anti-NRC protests.
