Bengaluru: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at the Palace Grounds in Bengaluru on Saturday, January 18, to attend the Vedanta Bharati Vivekadeepini Mahasamarpane programme. He is attending the event as the chief guest.
Vedanta Bharati is an organization established to undertake study and research projects in the field of Veda and Vedanta. It spreads the message of Adi Shankaracharya through various publications, organizing mass recitation, special talks, etc
Children from over 200 schools are participating in the event. Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, BJP leaders Tejasvi Surya, Aravind Limbavali, religious leaders and others are also present.
Addressing the students, Shah thanked the Vedanta Bharati workers for helping thousands of students. Shankaracharya is an inspiration to all of us, he said.
Earlier, the Shah arrived at the HAL airport in Bengaluru on Saturday, January 18 at around 12.30 PM and was received by CM B S Yediyurappa.
During his time in Bengaluru, Shah will also inaugurate Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya’s office in Jayanagar of the city.
He will leave the city at 3.30 PM to attend a pro-CAA convention in Hubballi.
