Bengaluru: Two persons died on the spot while another sustained minor injury when speeding SUV in which BJP leader CT Ravi was traveling ran over them near Alappanagudda village in Tumakuru district on Bengaluru-Hassan national highway.
The incident happened at 2 am on Tuesday.
According to the sources, CT Ravi was traveling from Chikkamagalur to Bengaluru and near Alappanagudda, the SUV driver lost control on the wheels and ran over two people who were standing on the roadside to attend nature’s call.
The deceased are Shashikumar (28) and Sunil Gowda (27), both residents of Surenahalli in Kananakpura taluk. They were returning from a pilgrimage.
CT Ravi also sustained minor injuries and was treated at a private hospital in Bengaluru and later discharged. “Three of his staff too have sustained injuries. All are being treated at Bengaluru,” added police.
