Bengaluru: Tense situation is prevailing in KR Pet constituency of Mandya district after locals pelted stones at two cars alleging that money was being brought in them to distribute to voters to cast votes in favour of the BJP.
The incident was reported from Mandagere village near Kikkeri hobli, which is one of the biggest hoblis in KR Pet constituency.
Both cars have been completedly damaged. The police, who rushed to the spot informed that no money was found in the cars. Now questions are being raised at the reason behind such a violent attack on the cars. Situation turned tense when the BJP decided to stage stir against this attack. In KR Pet disqualified MLA Narayana Gowda is contesting as a BJP candidate against KB Chandrasekar (Congress) and advocate Devaraju (JDS).
Even though the constituency is considered as the JDS fort, BJP has made substantial inroads. The Congress is fighting through forming a rainbow coalition of various social groups.
