Bengaluru: The state government increased the limit of transfer of officials from two percent to six percent, keeping in mind the huge demand from the officers themselves.
According to the latest order issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), in each department, six percent of the employees can be transferred.
Sources in the DPAR said that this decision to increase the transfer limit was taken as a result of the huge amount of pressure from the government employees seeking transfers from their original posting.
If sources are to be believed, the MLAs of the ruling coalition government were pressurising the state government to increase the transfer limit as it will help them get the officers of their choice in their constituencies.
All the departments have been asked to use the computerised transfer system to ensure transparency in the procedure.
