Bengaluru: Two traffic police constables clothed and rescued a seemingly mentally ill person who was walking nude on the roads. This gesture of theirs won the hearts of thousands of people in Namma Bengaluru.
For the last couple of days, a person was seen sitting and walking nude near the Horamavu junction of the city. Locals and vehicle drivers did not go to or bother much about him.
Banasawadi traffic constable Atheek Ahmed, who saw him, approached the man and tried to help him. His colleague, Nayaj Pasha and local youth by name Gopi, brought him a set of shirt and pants and clothed him.
After talking to the man, they gathered that he is from Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu. So, the constables gave him enough money to reach Dharmapuri via bus.
The whole incident was recorded by the locals, who later shared it on social media making the clip go viral.
Atheek Ahmed informed that the person was not able to communicate properly but only mentioned that he is from Dharmapuri. “He was sitting nude as he was afraid,” he added.
