Bengaluru: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader, former CM Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundurao and DCM Dr. G Parameshwar left from Bengaluru to New Delhi on Thursday, at 1 pm.

According to the Congress sources, all the three leaders will meet All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi (RaGA) this evening and finalise the party candidates for all the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies.

A senior Congress leader informed that all the three leaders will invite RaGa to contest from the state in the Lok Sabha election. They have identified Mysuru, Bengaluru Central and Bidar constituencies for the RaGa.

“If RaGa contests from the state, it may help the party to expand its base and ensure better results. Even the JDS will fall in line. This is the idea,” he explained.

“The KPCC has already sent an invitation to RaGa in this regard,” he added.
