Bengaluru: Saiful Azman, a 54-days-old toddler, who was taken in a zero traffic from Mangaluru to Bengaluru on February 4 for a heart operation recovered and has been discharged from the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology.
The toddler was offered free operation at the hospital.
Speaking to the reporter, hospital director CN Manjunath informed that the operation was performed on February 7 by a team of 12 doctors.
The cost of the operation was Rs.1.5 lakhs. Under the Arogya Karnataka Rs.1.20 lakh was released by the government and remaining amount was borne by the hospital itself.
Parents thanked the doctors for their invaluable help and stated that they had given up hopes on seeing their child alive.
