Bengaluru: When the entire world is under the grip of Covid-19, the Guledagudda police in Bagalkot district arrested 12 youth in connection with beating up the family members of a Dalit girl over her TikTok video.
According to the police sources, recently a Dalit girl from Haladur village had uploaded dance video on TikTok. A few youths of the village recorded another dance sequence and attached it to the girl’s profile which resulted in tension.
It has been alleged that these youth allegedly attacked girl’s family members for raising objection to their video. Police personnel have been deputed in the village. Senior police officers visited the village and launched an investigation.
