Bengaluru: Malleshwaram police detained three persons in connection with alleged medical seat blocking racket in a city college under the all India merit quota.
The incident happened when these three persons arrived at the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) office for the document verification to confirm the medical seats.
The seats were provisionally allotted to three male candidates. However, instead of them, three girls arrived at the KEA office for the document verification. The officials who developed suspicion found that these three were trying to block seats.
Immediately, they alerted the Malleshwaram police, who detained all the three.
The KEA issued notice to the three candidates in this regard. This incident has again proved that NEET still has several loopholes which can enable the agents to block seats using the fake marks cards and documents.
