Bengaluru: “The mysteries of nature are hidden in mythical facts.” The multifaceted scholar, renowned critic Dr. Lakshmish Tholpadi said.

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavana and the Vinayaka Gokak Wagmaya Trust Bengaluru were jointly presented V.K Gokak Award 2020,  to Dr. Lakshmish Tholpadi at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on Monday. 

After receiving the award he said “Upanishad means secrecy. The Upanishads are to know the secrets of nature. In real terms, mysteries challenge the ego of the human being. These challenges must be overcome. It cannot be penetrated until one experiences the mystery.”

“According to Matsyavatara was created under the sea. Science states that organisms were firstborn in water. In an event in 1967, VK Gokak expressed his views on this matter. This made me curious. VK Gokak is an inspirational personality.” he added.

Ability to experience secrets: “Real awareness means experiencing the mysteries of nature. The source of consciousness is the unraveling of the secret. Such things can be found in mythology. The Veda-Upanishads said that the mythological facts are the cells of knowledge that penetrate such mysteries.” he added.

Redundancy Original Meaning: “Redundancy does not mean repetition. That’s not a boring word; Education is redundant in the real sense. Any knowledge must be learned with its source. Education is such a real way to learn.
They feel that such education is creative and lucrative.” he opined.

Narahalli Balasubramanya presided over the program and said “Critic Dr. Tholpadi’s personality is the answer to today’s fast-paced life. He was hailed as a meditative mind.”

Trust Secretary Anil Gokak presented the V.K Gokak award 2020, to scholar Dr. Lakshmisha Tholpadi honored him. H.N Suresh Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, N. Ravikumar of Abhinav Publication, environmentalist Nagesh Hegde, Psychologist M Basavanna, Poetess P. Chandrika, Writer Rajani Narahalli, Journalist Deva Pattar were present.
