Bengaluru: The state government approved the draft tourism policy. A meeting chaired by the tourism minister CT Ravi approved the policy.
The highlight of the policy is using technology to promote tourism across the state.
The focus areas of the new policy include heritage, culture, ecotourism and health tourism. Stress has been given to more foreign direct investment in the tourism sector.
“As of now, we are in the third position when it comes to tourism activities across the country. Our target is taking the state to the no 1 position,” said CT Ravi.
