Bengaluru: The BJP is likely to release its second list of candidates for the remaining seven Lok Sabha seats of the state on Saturday, March 23.
According to sources in the party’s state unit, the list is expected to be released by Saturday afternoon.
The BJP has named candidates for 21 Lok Sabha constituencies so far. But the party is yet to name candidates for seven constituencies, including the prestigious Bengaluru South constituency.
Meanwhile, BJP state unit president B S Yeddyurappa has made it clear that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not contest from any of the Lok Sabha constituencies of the state.
Earlier, it was speculated that Modi may contest from the Bengaluru South constituency, which is the bastion of the party.
