Bengaluru: Does former chief minister Siddaramaiah sense a come back to power? If one observes his more recent behaviours and actions, it looks like he is trying to win the confidence of the Congress party’s senior leaders to ensure that they will not be an obstacle when he gets a second chance at the CM’s chair.
According to sources close to Siddaramaiah, he has been calling all the senior party leaders, who are considered to be his political opponents, over the last few days. “He is visiting the houses of senior leaders for breakfast, lunch and dinner and taking them into his confidence. There is no arrogance in his personality,” said a leader close to him.
The source adds that Sidddaramaiah wants incumbent CM B S Yediyurappa to complete his term and go for an election. “Siddaramaiah is aware that the BJP may not come to power again in the state due to the infighting,” he said.
