Bengaluru: Senior leader, former minister and JDS MLA from Chamundeshwari constituency in Mysuru GT Devegowda has tested positive for COVID-19.
He has been rushed to a private hospital in the city. He has mild symptoms.
According to the sources, Gowda participated in several public events throwing social distance norms to wind.
He was the Mysuru district in-charge minister in HD Kumaraswamy led coalition government. He had defeated former CM Siddaramaiah in 2018 state assembly election.
