Bengaluru: Karnataka schools are reopening on January 1, 2021, for students of classes 10 and 12, wile the Class 6 to 9 would continue to learn under the ‘Vidyagama’ programme.
Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar has been a busy man over the last few days as he has been constantly visiting several schools to closely inspect the preparations being made to welcome the students back to schools.
The Minister has urged the parents to overcome their fears and send their children to schools.
Meanwhile, the Minister also shared several pictures on his Facebook page showing hwo the schools in various parts of the state are gearing up to welcome the students.
While some schools have decorated the entrance, many other schools have already sanitized the classrooms to ensure safety of students.
The decision to reopen schools for SSLC and PUC board exam students was taken at a high-level meeting on December 19.
Schools were closed in March owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
