Bengaluru: No stunt director would have thought of this trick in any action movie. A rowdy-sheeter, one of the most wanted by the CCB police spent over three hours inside a fridge to escape the police after none other than the city police commissioner himself asked his personnel to arrest him. However, the criminal’s escape plan left the police shocked.
The CCB police were searching for notorious rowdy-sheeter Kunigal Giri for the last few days and had not been able to trace him. But on Sunday, June 16, the police received a tip-off that he is celebrating his birthday with 266 bar girls and almost an equal number of friends at a city bar.
The police waited for the party to begin and once it started, they raided the venue. All the 266 bar girls were rescued and several of Giri’s friends were detained, but to their dismay, the police could not find Giri. They then left the spot assuming that he jumped off the bar’s walls and escaped.
However, during their investigation, they found that Girl was at the venue and had hidden inside a fridge for three hours. He came out only after the police left the venue.
During the raid, the police seized Rs 9.82 lakhs and a car that belonged to Giri.
