Bengaluru: To provide relief to the health care of city during the covid surge, The Rotary Club Manyata, in association with Presidency college, has set up a 50 bed Covid care centre at Kempapura.
The centre has received the approval from the BBMP and will be fully functional within two to three days. “50 to 60 oxygen concentrates are on transit from Delhi and currently we have 50 beds that are functional,” said Mohammed Tasleel, President of Rotary Club Manyata. He said that if required, 25 more beds will be added to the facility.
This centre is looking to hire 6 to 12 nurses and 4 doctors. “Initially we will hire 6 nurses and 2 doctors and if the demand is more then we will hire the necessary people,” said Tasleel.
Tasleel said that Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka has assured to support this centre and provide the medicines needed to treat the patients.
Along with this initiate, Rotary Club of Manyata is providing help to many during the covid time by distributing food for the needy, helping people get vaccinated, providing support to take RTPCR test and so on.
