Bengaluru: Rekha’s sister-in-law Mala and her son, who are suspected of being involved in the murder, were arrested by Bengaluru police on Monday June 28.
Police had already arrested five people suspected to be involved in Rekha’s murder. On Thursday June 24, she was murdered by an armed group in broad daylight.
Stephen (21), Ajay (21), Peter aka. Lamboo Peter (46), Surya (19.) and Purushottam (22) were the suspects arrested earlier.
According to the police, at least three of the five are related to Rekha’s spouse Kadiresh, who was murdered in a similar manner in February 2018. Rekha (45) was S. Kadiresh’s second wife and was elected twice to the Bengaluru Local Civic Body on BJP ticket.
