Bengaluru: Health Minister Dr Sudhakar stating that Covid-19 vaccination for the age group of 18-45 will not begin from Saturday May 1 in Bengaluru and rest of Karnataka, he asked the target group to register at the Co-WIN portal and wait for the government’s future instructions.
Speaking to the media persons here on Friday April 30, he said, “I’ve been getting calls and messages asking where to go for vaccination in May 1 tomorrow. I request all of you not to visit hospitals tomorrow. We’ve not got information from Serum Institute on when vaccines will be supplied,” he added.
Informing that out of around 99.5 lakh doses, more than 95 lakh doses have been administered, he stressed that the vaccine wastage percentage has only been 1.4 per cent. On Thursday April 29, four lakh doses have arrived, and that the state has around six lakh doses, he assured.
