Bengaluru: What made the Karnataka police to pursue Ravi Pujari’s extradition case with Senegal and South Africa seriously?
If sources are to be believed, his adventurism to take on Bengaluru Rural MP, DK Suresh, brother of Congress strongman DK Shivakumar resulted in his fall.
Sources say that deciding to clash with the ‘mighty men’ from the state’ cost Pujari dear. If not, he would have been safe in in Senegal.
“It was the initial days of HD Kumaraswamy led coalition government. Pujari had called DK Suresh seeking money. When Suresh didn’t pay heed, he threatened him with dire consequences. This was brought to the notice of the CM, who immediately asked the state police to ensure that Pujari is extradited to the country,” said sources.
“Pujari threatened over 20 MLAs including Anand Singh, who is now a minister in BSY government. What he didn’t know was that these MLAs were highly powerful,” added sources.
