Bengaluru: Pre-monsoon rainfall covers most part of the malnad and coastal Karnataka. IMD issued a yellow alert for the six districts of this region. The alert will continue till April 16.
According to the authorities, Dakshina Kannada, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur and Kodagu have been issued yellow alert. No such alert has been issued for the Udupi district.
Meanwhile, monsoon farming activities have started in many places with good rainfall. The farmers are happy because of the early rainfall. The temperature also has come down drastically and become pleasant due to the rainfall.
