Bangalore: B J Puttaswamy of the opposition BJP has hit out at Forests Minister and DK District in-charge B Ramanatha Rai for snoring during the legislative council session on Wednesday July 3.
B J Puttaswamy of BJP sarcastically said, “Please provide our minister a bed. Let him sleep properly. He is very tired.”
Adding to his embarrassment, he was caught sleeping during a debate round in the legislative council after which some members tried to wake him up. Opposition leaders said Rai had the habit of sleeping even as he speaks on issues.
Arun Shahpur of BJP said that both the Congress government and ministers have been sleeping and it is our rightful job to wake them up.
When questioned Rai said that he was just trying to take some rest and dozed off again.
