Poll officer dies at polling station in Chamarajanagar

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a 48-year-old economics lecturer from a government PU college died of a heart attack in Chamarajangar. He was on duty as a poll officer at polling station no 48 in Chamarajanagar city.

The deceased has been identified as Shantha Murthy, 48, an economics lecturer at Hanur government PU college.

It is said that on Thursday morning, while on duty, he developed uneasiness and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced brought dead.

His mortal remains were sent to Hanur in an ambulance.
