Bengaluru: The CCB police, who are investigating the KPL betting scam, believe that three Kannada actresses were used to honey trap the players.
City police commissioner Bhaskara Rao stated that this angle is currently being investigated by the police. “A few actresses have worked only in a few films, yet they are leading a luxurious life with high-end SUVs. We are carrying out an investigation in this direction,” he said.
According to sources, these actresses were hired by KPL franchise owners to lure players in the party. Later, they trapped them by recording their explicit acts inside the hotel room.
“At least three famous actresses have been used to trap players,” said sources in the CCB.
The police have informed that they are checking video footage of the few hotels where players stayed during the recently concluded KPL, to ascertain how the parties were conducted and how these actresses were snuck into the rooms.
