Bengaluru: A Bengaluru-Kolkata Air India flight was delayed by about one hour after the pilot and crew member got into an ugly spat.
It is said that the captain flying AI Flight-772 allegedly ordered the junior staff to wash his lunchbox, which irked the staff, on Monday at the Bengaluru airport.
The passengers were onboard and the episode happened in front of them. Sources say that the crew member took offence to the captain’s order. When the argument was about to turn violent, the other crew members intervened. The passengers were left shocked by the behaviour of both the pilot as well as the crew member. As a result the Bengaluru-Kolkata flight was delayed by 77 minutes.
An Air India spokesperson confirmed the incident and maintained that the pilot and the crew have been de-rostered pending inquiry.
