Bengaluru: A large number of parents gathered in front of Presidency School at Nandini Layout, protesting against the management for collecting fees from the students. The online classes for the students have started according to the government guidelines and the fees for this was collected.

The parents who were gathered said that at a time like this, fees should not be collected from the students and alleged that this was against the court order or orders of the government.

Responding to this protest, the Public Relations Officer of the school, Arun told News Karnataka that these parents intended to create issues since the beginning. “We are following the Supreme Court’s rules. The classes have begun and the school employees are paid 100% of their salaries while students are given 100% of their classes,” Arun said. How can we run a school without them willing to spend a penny? he argued.

He further said, “we are just collecting fees in accordance with the court order. The majority of parents have no problems. They want to make an issue out of nothing.”

“We have the documents, and everyone who gathered to protest is not a parent, according to our understanding. We have never interrupted their classes and we have no idea why they are protesting now,” he said. “Only two to three parents have issues, while the rest of the parents are happy,” he added.
