Bengaluru: The count down has begun for the notification for the election to the 14 Lok Sabha seats of the state. On Tuesday at 10 AM, the notification will be issued for the elections in the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies. With this, the nomination filing process will begin.
According to the state election commission authorities, in the first phase, elections will be held for 14 Lok Sabha seats of the state. The voting will be held on April 18.
These 14 seats include Mangaluru, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Chitradurga, Tumakuru, Mandya, Mysuru-Kodagu, Chamarajanagara, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru South, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru Central, Chikkaballapura and Kolar.
The highlight of this year’s Lok Sabha election is that, for the first time, the Congress party will be contesting as an alliance with a regional party.
