Bengaluru: For the first time since April 27, the city returned to normalcy on Monday June 21 as per the State Government’s unlock 2.0 guidelines. The BMTC and Namma Metro started operations early in the morning. Hotels and restaurants are open.

The BMTC is operating over 2,000 buses today with fully vaccinated crew members. KSRTC also launched services to many destinations except Mysuru and Mangaluru cities.

As per the unlock 2.0 rules, a majority of the activities are allowed in the city. However, a few activities are still not permitted fearing the spread of the infection.

Meanwhile, the State Government is aimed at vaccinating over 10 lakh persons today as part of the global Covid-19 vaccination drive.
