Bengaluru: Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi, a BJP MP from Belagavi, Karnataka, tested positive for COVID-19.
According to reports, the minister is asymptomatic.
The news was confirmed by Angadi himself, who requested his primary and secondary contacts to get tested for the disease.

According to sources, Angadi is under home isolation and is being treated by his doctor daughter.
He is the first Union Minister from the state to test positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Kalaburugi MP Umesh Jadhav has recovered from the disease and has been discharged from the hospital.
