Bengaluru: The executive board of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), which met on Friday, January 17 evening, decided to increase the prices of milk and milk products by Rs 2 to Rs 3 per litre. “The final call will be taken by the state government,” informed Balachandra Jarakiholi, chairman, KMF.
According to sources, during the meeting, it was unanimously decided to increase all the products’ prices keeping in mind the interests of the farmers who depend on the dairies.
The board authorised chairman Balachandra Jarakiholi to take the final decision in this regard after holding a consultation with Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
