Metro faces acute shortage of Labourers

Bangalore: At the backdrop of the migrant labourers engaged in building construction, garments industries, hotels and restaurants in the metro are returning to their respective villages, in order to cast their votes, the shortage of labourers has been deeply felt.

The migrant labourers in large numbers are working in Bangalore, Mumbai, Mysore, Goa who are returning to their native to cast their votes in the upcoming assembly election on Sunday May 5.

A mafia is thriving to take the migrant labourers in trucks and other means of transport to exercise their franchisee for a pre determined candidate who would bear their expenses.  The Election Commission has kept its close vigil on such operators. The migrant labourers employed in building industry in the metro have left to their native villages a few days in advance, which has stalled many building works.

The migrant labourers returning to Hubli, Shimoga and other districts have already booked transport to return to their native in order to cast their votes and return at the cost of party candidate.

The metro faces acute shortage of labourers as the migrant labourers engaged in hotels, garment industries and unorganized sectors are returning to their native villages.
