Bengaluru: The Congress named in-charges for 8 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state which will go for voting on April 23.
According to an announcement made by the KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao in this regard, DK Suresh, Bengaluru Rural MP and brother of Congress strongman, major irrigation minister DKShi has been appointed as the in-charge for Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency where alliance candidate Madhu Bangarappa, son of former CM S Bangarappa locked horns with incumbent MP BY Raghavendra, son for another former CM BS Yeddyurappa.
Other in-charges include Ballari (R Dhruvanarayana from Chamarajanagar), BK Hariprasad (Uttara Kannada), HC Mahadevappa (Vijayapura), Veerappa M Moily (Rayachuru), Krishna Bairegowda (Dharwad), UT Khader (Belagavi), BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan (Haveri), and KH Muniyappa has been appointed as the in-charge for the Davanagere LS constituency.
Most of the in-charges named by the KPCC are contesting as the JDS-Congress alliance candidates in the I phase election which is in progress on Thursday.
