Bengaluru: Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa warned of a lockdown if people didn't cooperate by following preventive measures.
He added that in the wake of the fresh rise in cases, a meeting of experts and officials has been convened for March 15. He appealed to the citizens to cooperate and help control the surge without a lockdown.
The statement comes in the background of the neighbouring state of Maharashtra clamping lockdown in parts of the state.
He told reporters that the Covid situation is getting out of hand with the cases rises daily. He added that there were no plans to impose lockdown as of now until people agree to cooperate.
