Bengaluru: IT giant Infosys, on Thursday, November 7, rolled out its list for the “Infosys Prize 2019”, in which six scientists have been named.
The awardees as mentioned in the list are as follows:
Manu V Devadevan, Assistant Professor, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT – Mandi (Humanities), Manjula Reddy, Chief Scientist, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad (Life Sciences), Sidhartha Mishra, Professor, Department of Mathematics, ETH Zurich (Mathematical Sciences), G Mugesh, Professor, Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, IISc Bengaluru (Physical Sciences), Anand Pandian, Professor, Department of Anthropology, Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, John Hopkin University (Social Sciences) and Sunita Sarawagi, Institute Chair professor, Computer Science and Engineering, IIT – Mumbai (Engineering and Computer Sciences).
The awards will include a gold medal, a citation and a cash prize of USD 100,000.
At the award ceremony to be held on January 7, 2020, Economic Sciences Nobel laureate Amartya Sen will be present.
