Bengaluru:  Karnataka BJP legislator V. Sunil Kumar and the government’s chief whip in the legislative assembly, urged the party’s leadership on Tuesday June 8 to offer a “platform” for legislators and workers to express their views.

He also expressed concern over recent changes within the party, citing rumours that Chief Minister B.S Yediyurappa would be replaced.

“Remarks coming in the media in the last 3 days are not good in the interest of the party. Few comments from a few people are not same as all MLAs and party workers. We can’t tell our opinion to media. I request party leaders to provide us a platform to hear us,” he tweeted.

“Many of us have our own opinions on the party and the government, but we can’t come out and express them in front of the media because we don’t want to go against the party line,” said MLA.

He said top leaders should hear differing viewpoints and ideas should be exchanged in order to provide an acceptable forum for legislators and loyal party workers to discuss their opinions.

He tagged his tweet to party national secretary C.T Ravi, party state unit president Nalin Kumar Kateel, and party state in charge Arun Singh.

His tweet caused a stir because many BJP legislators are believed to be looking for a platform to speak out against the CM.

“Sunil Kumar is the RSS leaders’ blue-eyed boy. He doesn’t tweet very often. He is apparently requesting that the legislature party meeting be relayed to him “explained a BJP leader.
