Bengaluru: With the lockdown 4.0 all set to conclude in next couple of days, the city is returning to normalcy amid Covid 19 scare.
On Monday evening, lakhs of people returned to the city causing hours of traffic jam everywhere.
According to the traffic police, a highest traffic jam was reported at Nelamangala toll gate, which is the entry point to Bengaluru from the coastal Karnataka.
‘Most of the people are returning after two month gap. As they preferred individual vehicles, there was a huge rush,” explained a traffic cop.
The arrival and departure of the goods vehicles has also increased substantially.
“With Covid 19 cases decreasing day by day in the city, the life is almost returning to normalcy,” added authorities.
Meanwhile, in Bengaluru, most of the offices will restart in total from Tuesday.
“The hotels are provided with the option of selling parcels. They may get permission to start full services from June,” added sources in the state government.
