Bengaluru: Richest temple of Karnataka, Kukke Subramanya temple has witnessed dip in revenue due to last year’s flood and landslides in Kodagu and some other pockets of the state.
Compared to the 2017-18, the annual revenue of the temple came down by around Rs three crores this year, but the temple continues to be the richest revenue temple of the state.
According to the annual accounts report released by the temple management, the annual revenue came down from Rs. 95.92 crores in 2017-18 to Rs.92.09 crores in 2018-19. The annual revenue of the temple was 19.76 crores in 2006-07.
Sources say that, over the last 13 years, this is the first time that the revenue of the temple witnessed a dip. However, the temple continues to be the richest endowment temple of the state.
