Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has decided to operate buses beyond 7 pm from the Bengaluru city bus stand.
On Wednesday, the corporation was planning on operating only 2,000 buses. But the passenger pressure was such that 633 additional buses were operated to different destinations. Keeping in mind the increased passenger flow, the KSRTC has decided to operate more buses from Thursday.
“On Wednesday over 82,000 passengers used our services,” informed authorities adding that the highest demand for bus services is between Bengaluru and the north Karnataka districts.
Meanwhile, the South Western Railway has started advance booking for passenger trains between various cities of the state. The trains will resume operations from Friday, after the gap of nearly two months.
