Bengaluru: The KSRTC has proposed an increase in fares of 10% to 15% in the coming days. The state government has been handed a proposal in this regard.
KSRTC MD Shivayogi Kalasad informed that the corporation is incurring a revenue loss of Rs. 20 crores per day. The state government is now only responsible for the Rs.300 crores per month salary of its employees.
“So, fare revision is inevitable,” he explained.
He also stated that KSRTC will start operating the buses as per the unlock norms fixed by the state government.
