Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre has warned of a heatwave in four districts of the state soon, and has asked the people in these districts to stay indoors.
According to the authorities, Bidar, Kalaburugi, Raichur and Vijayapura are expected to witness a heatwave on Monday and Tuesday between 11.30 am 3.30 pm. The average maximum temperature is expected to go up by 5 to 6 degrees Celsius due at this time.
The authorities have requested the people not to venture outside unnecessarily as the heatwave may cause a sunstroke.
Meanwhile, the Southern Karnataka and Malnad regions continue to witness heavy rainfalls. On Friday night too, the entire region witnessed heavy rainfall.
