Bengaluru: Anil Raj, editor of the Yalahanka Voice arrested two months ago on charges of sexually abusing a woman, died at the Parappana Agrahara prison.
Senior police officers rushed to the prison immediately and launched an investigation.
Raj, who was instrumental in exposing the corruption in several land grabbing cases in Yahahanka and its surrounding areas, was charged with sexual assault on the woman under the pretext of marrying her.
His family has, however, refuted the allegations and alleged that CCTV footage revealed his innocence in the case.
More details awaited.
