Bangalore: The newly nominated members of the Legislative Council  barring Jayamala, were sworn in and they took part in the proceedings of the Upper House. Jayamala is  likely to take oath on June 30. Jayamala, is said to be waiting for an auspicious day to be sworn-in, thus the delay.

Chiding Jayamala, who was sitting in the visitors’ gallery, JD(S)MLC MC Nanaiah said that he also knew a little about astrology which suggested that the noted actor will take oath a day or two. It is said that Wednesday being amavasye, Jayamala decided to postpone her swearing-in.

Meanwhile, some  other new MLCs including KS Eshwarappa from BJP, HM Revanna, NS Bose Raj, G Parameshwara from the Congress, TA Sarvana from the JD(S)and Independent candidate DU Mallikarjun are likely to take oath any day after June 30.
