Bengaluru: With the state seeing some of the worst floods in recent years, it doesn’t look like the woes will come to an end soon as the IMD has predicted heavy rainfalls during the next 24 hours.
According to a report by ANI, on Sunday, the IMD said that heavy rainfalls have been predicted for most parts of coastal Karnataka and the southern interior of the state and a few places in the northern interior.
Hassan, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Ramanagara, Mysore, Mandya, Tumkur and Kolar are some of the districts that are expected to receive heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
So far, of the 22 districts that have been hit by the floods, Belagavi has reported the highest number of deaths, with 15 people being killed.
Meanwhile, over seven lakh people have been rescued so far.
