Bengaluru: In yet another shocking revelation, former union minister and chief minister S M Krishna has said that he had a small role to play in the collapse of the Congress-JD(S) coalition government in the state.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, December 3, he said, “Let me be very clear that I was not the one who played a major role in the collapse of the coalition government, but yes, I played a minor role.”
“Whosoever came, spoke to me and asked my opinion about the Congress-JD(S) coalition, after the by-polls, I told them that it was just a drama that both the parties were playing. Nobody from the Opposition is speaking in one voice. Every individual is expressing their own opinion on whether the by-polls are needed or not.”
Expressing his confidence over the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa-led BJP Government’s continuation in power even after the by-polls, Krishna said, “The BSY government will successfully complete its tenure. Just like how I came from a totally different political background and ideology and accepted the BJP, likewise, the 15 by-poll candidates will also win and continue to have a good relationship with the party. Our main agenda is to strengthen the hands of BSY and help him have a stable government.”
Meanwhile, the former CM opined that whatever is happening in the Maharashtra politics is completely different from what is happening in Karnataka.
