Bengaluru: The fear of Covid-19 has now hit the saloons across the city. Hundreds of saloons remained shut over the past few days as the people have stopped visiting them out of fear.
In many parts of the city, salon owners are voluntarily putting up signs saying that their establishment is closed indefinitely. The same practice has been followed in most of the major cities across the state, including Mysuru and Hubballi-Dharwad.
Another major victim of Covid fear is beauty parlours. Thousands of people, especially women who are dependent on them for their livelihood, have now lost their jobs. Even though the state government has come up with a relief package for salon owners, beauty parlours are not included in the list, adding to their miseries.
