Bengaluru: High alert has been sounded across Mysuru and Bengaluru following an intelligence report warning of a possible attack on these two cities was received.
City police commissioner Bhaskar Rao issued a direction to the city police asking them to be alert and beef up the security around important places.
Based on his directions, police cover has been increased around the Vidhana Soudha, metro stations, High Court and Electronic City.
Additional KSRP platoons were pressed into action at night.
Meanwhile, in Mysuru, police carried out surprise checks with dog squads.
