Bengaluru: “There is no hereditary administration in Karnataka. It is not even in our party’s DNA,” BJP national general secretary CT Ravi said hinting that the Yediyurappa family will not inherit power.
Speaking at a press conference at the government residence, he said: “Our party is not a party with hereditary culture. There is no owner to our party. The Congress party has Nehru family, DMK has Karunanidhi, Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav, but we do not have such a tendency with party workers being the real owners and CM, Prime Minister and Home Minister are our leaders. The final decision in the other parties is something the family of a leader takes, but in our party, the Core Committee or Parliamentary Council decide things. Our party allows everyone to develop leadership qualities in the face of worthiness and perseverance. There is no chance for successor culture. Never before, not now.
I started by distributing flex in the party and now i am national general secretary. Every party worker gets a chance. DNA of our party is democracy, he stressed. I have spoken to CM, state president and incharge Arun Singh about Eshwarappa’s letter to governor. I am junior to both CM and Eshwarappa, therefore I will comment anything and will speak only where it is necessary, he said.
